Mechatronics Technology

Program Information

The Mechatronics Associate Degree Program equips students for the highly skilled world of automation. Through training in the diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PCL and robotic systems, the program prepares today’s technicians to troubleshoot, to reduce downtime and to increase efficiencies in the manufacturing environment. The Mechatronics program is grounded in hands-on work for mastery of skills, and it features solid training in computers, communication and interpersonal skills.


The Mechatronics Associate Degree Program offers an associate degree and two certificate options. Credit for courses in the certificates also can be applied toward the associate degree.

Scheduling and Entry Options

Day and evening classes are available. The first and second semesters of the program are available at the Anderson and Easley Campus. Full-time day students usually complete requirements in five terms. For students taking a reduced load, a degree requires eight to ten terms. General Education course requirements can be completed at any time during the program. Courses can be completed in any order subject to the completion of course prerequisites.
