NUR 101 - Fundamentals of Nursing Class Hours: 4 Lab Hours: 6 Credit Hours: 6
This course facilitates the development of beginning technical competency in the application of the nursing process to assist in meeting the needs of selected patients of varying ages. Through guided classroom, laboratory and clinical experiences, the student will develop competency in assessment of patients and in planning and implementing nursing interventions. The student will assist adult patients with common health problems and will integrate concepts and principles of growth and development, communication and nutrition. The student will acquire a beginning knowledge of the role of the nurse as a member of the health team.
