AST 101 - Solar System Astronomy Class Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 3 Credit Hours: 4
This course is a descriptive survey of the universe with emphasis on basic physical concepts and the objects in the solar system. Related topics of current interest are included in the course. Laboratory requirement supplements lectures.
Prerequisites: Satisfactory reading and writing placement test scores for ENG 101 and MAT 102 or completion of MAT 101 , MAT 102 , MAT 103 , MAT 109 , MAT 110 , MAT 111 , MAT 120 , MAT 130 , or MAT 140 and either ENG 101 or ENG 155 , or ENG 100 and RDG 100 . All prerequisite courses require a grade of “C” or higher. Note: Course is only offered in Fall and Summer.
